The scholarship is in honor of Hellen Sullivan, who was a long-time breastfeeding trainer at the Department of State Health Services, WIC Program. It is a joint effort by the Texas Breastfeeding Coalition and the Texas Association of Local WIC Directors and presented to cover the cost of the IBLCE exam for a TXBC member (1st priority) or to cover the registration fee for a TXBC member to meet IBLCE continuing education requirements.

Scholarship requirements are as follows:

Applicants must be a current TXBC member or work for an organization that is a current TXBC member to apply for the scholarship.

The scholarship deadline is May 4, 2024.

The deadline to register for the Fall/September exam is May 31, 2024.

The recipient will be reimbursed, after completion of the exam & with a paid receipt.
